Many people do make their money online by completing or participating in online survey. I've worked in so many survey site just to earn atleast $1 daily, but it seems so hard. Can we rely in online surveys as a good way to generate income online?

All this comes down to your geographic area, if you live in a Tier 1 country you will be able to access many surveys, if otherwise you live in a low-tier country, you will not be able to access any or almost no surveys so it is better not to waste your time trying to complete surveys if that is your case.

Yes, sure, I live in a tier3 country and surveys for me are mostly a big waste of time, unless they recognise partial completion and pay some points in the case of disqualification too (currently, I only found 3 panels so reliable: Theorem Reach, in-Brain and TapResearch).

It is actually reliable if you work on good survey platforms and if you are from top tier countries

Maybe not for consistent income but if you're after a free e-gift card or voucher every now and then it's something beneficial.
I do a few sites and they are really good I am not looking forward to the day when I don’t qualify for them because I am getting to old.

Surveys are a failure in India. I have tried and didn't make any money.

Online surveys are good way of earning, as you will find a lot of positive posts and reviews about different surveys sites one of these are YSense when I watch video about it I was very excited, but till date when I register there, to present date I didn't see a single survey there. These sites are good but for certain countries.

This is the very same experience some Italian friends of mine faced. They never qualified for a single survey during years, in spite of living in a tier2 country. One of them was a student. We know, a student doesn't count on a big salary. When a student works, he/she usually bumps into underpaid humble jobs that are considered a bad target by survey promoting companies. Another friend of mine was an underpaid baker, working in a miserable condition, owning no car. And survey panels disliked such a condition, unfortunately. I was luckier than them, in spite of living in a tier3 country, as I could earn between 3 and 11 dollars per month answering surveys (obviously, they were panels recognizing partial completions).

I didn't know this about surveys. I am a retired person and therefore I think that's the right work for me.

Yeah depending on where you live they. can definitely not work for some.
It hasn't worked for me. I therefore have stopped taking surveys.

It's good that you stopped no need to try if you don't succeed for a long period of time at first I was interested but now I don't care about surveys

Talking about surveys, I don't know the situation of retired people (I don't know if a retired is considered by companies a good or bad target to complete their surveys) because none of my friends that work online is retired. But supposing a retired receives at least a discreet amount of pension, maybe he/she can earn about 5 dollars per month. If the retired is used to regular travels, especially by flights, maybe there is the possibility to earn well with surveys, but I'm not sure. I may suppose the retired, in such a case, should live in a top tier country to earn well with surveys.

I have tried. They don't entertain.

I think I was wasting my time.

In fact, I have known survey sites since Clixsens changed to Ysense and I considered online surveys as promising earning sites, but after joining the survey site I was always rejected, or not qualified, so I never completed the survey assignment.

It depends very much on your demographics, as others have mentioned. I've noticed that I've "aged out" of a lot of surveys lately, so they are a lot less profitable for me than they used to be when I was younger.

Also, they take a lot of time. I could make more money doing something else.

I agree with you, survey sites provide rewards based on demographics which are divided into four country tiers. The first tier will of course receive the biggest reward and my country is not included in the tier group
