Some people say paying rent is just “throwing money away,” but I don’t fully agree. While owning a home is a great goal, renting also has its perks — like flexibility, fewer responsibilities, and less stress with maintenance or repairs.

I think it really depends on your priorities and lifestyle. For some, stability means owning; for others, freedom means renting.

What about you — do you see rent as wasted money or as paying for flexibility and peace of mind?

Renting certainly has its pros. You do not have to worry about maintenance, and you can move to a bigger or smaller apartment depending on your financial situation. As for buying an apartment, I consider it as an investment. Other than living in it without paying rent, the value of the apartment can increase over time.

Though family doesn't experience renting, but I believe that those who cannot afford to buy a house and lot may opt to rent. However, it is better to apply for a housing loan and pay it regularly, and then after it's fully paid, you would have a house you call your own. And it becomes your asset.

Everyone has different financial goals. Especially if we're staying in another city only temporarily or for less than a year, it's better to rent a house. However, if we're going to stay permanently in a city, it's better to buy a house through a mortgage.
