Is social media more of a tool for oppression now?

I see many people on social media and they are always showing off. And it seems their major goal is to make people that have not reached their achievement level feel bad? Some people have been depressed because of the show off of the people they see on social media.

I’m not sure. However, some people like to brag on social media, especially those who acquired luxurious items by taking out loans.

In a way yes depending on how you view it. Today a lot of people just use social media to brag and oppress others with what they have , and the worse part is some are living a fake life.

If someone is not mentally strong, being on social media can make them lose their minds because of bragging by others.

Social media is a tool of oppression whether we agree or not. People now use it to make other people feel like they don't have any achievements.
