When it comes to investment, people think that it all entails buying a liquid asset or a solid asset. I want to ask if I spend money to learn a new skill that has the potential to pay me in the future, can that be considered an investment in the real sense?

Certainly, though it pays off in the long run, learning a skill is generally considered an investment. Investing in your education or skills can yield returns in the form of better job opportunities, higher income, personal growth, and increased job satisfaction.

Learning a new skill or improving your existing skillset is certainly an investment in your future. By expanding your skills, you increase your chances of reaping the rewards later, especially if you stay persistent. If you do not find a job right away, do not get discouraged. Keep pushing forward and try again until you land the right opportunity. Hehe

Even if one is stranded in life the skill he or she had learned can always come to give a head start.

Provided it helps you get a good job or helps in your life process in some way.
