Is trade volume significant to the price of a crypto?

I always read about trade volumes of different crypto tokens. And I don't seem to understand what they all stand for.

This trade volume of a thing, does it contribute anything to the price of a crypto token?

Volume is an indicator that is often used by traders to predict the direction of price movements. Like if the price of BTC is increasing and the volume is getting bigger then the volume tells traders that Bitcoin transactions are also increasing etc.
