It is very common for a physical business like a shop or warehouse to get insured against theft, damage, fire, etc. You can even insure for shipment or freight. A lot of people about insuring online business because it exist only on virtual space. However, if you own an online business, you are still at the risk. For instance, if you have inventory, it needs insurance. If you have an office, it needs to be insured. By the way, is your online business insured?

That depends on the nature and scale of your online business. For large online retailer, it has inventory, warehouse and staff. So, it is necessary to have insurance. If you are just running an online business on your own, and is offering service instead of providing products, insurance may not be necessary.

Mine isn’t insured at the moment. Since I run everything from home and don’t hold any stock, I never saw the need. But you’re right, there are still risks like equipment damage or cyberattacks. It’s probably worth looking into options just to have some peace of mind.
