The report said that the Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for a bomb attack on Syrian government forces in Sweida province, marking its first acknowledged assault since the fall of President Bashar al-Assad in December 2024. The attack resulted in seven casualties, including both soldiers and civilians. Additionally, a separate IS strike targeted U.S.-backed Free Syrian Army fighters, causing further casualties.
