According to the report on October 23, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) intercepted two drones off Eilat's coast, which they claimed came from Iraq. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq took responsibility, stating the drones targeted vital sites in the area.
The report said that on October 22, two Israeli reservists were killed in clashes with Hezbollah in Lebanon, with one incident sending a million people into bomb shelters. Among the deceased were Maj (res) Aviram Hariv and Master Sgt (res) Saar Eliad Navarsky. The IDF reported 752 Israeli soldiers have died since the war began.
The report added that the IDF also tracked and downed a Hezbollah drone launched at Israel. Additionally, Khalil Muhammad Amhaz, a member of Hezbollah’s drone unit, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on October 21. Reports indicate at least 10 people died in separate Israeli strikes on October 22 in Lebanon.
In diplomatic matters, PM Netanyahu declined to publicly clarify Israel's stance on a US request regarding northern Gaza. Hezbollah also claimed to have fired rockets at an Israeli military base near Tel Aviv, while a Yemeni hypersonic missile struck a military target in the city.
