According to the report, after several weeks of negotiations led by the US, a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah has finally seen the light of the day.
The report said that before the ceasefire deal went into effect on Nov. 27 at 4 am (local time) an unnamed US official promised reporters that "all fire will stop from all parties”.
The report added that the truce comes after both sides accepted the deal brokered by Washington and France, the US President said. The Israeli PM listed three reasons for opting for a ceasefire pact.
For Hezbollah to agree to give control of southern Lebanon and not rebuild their destroyed infrastructures shows that Israel really weakened them.
This ceasefire will give Hezbollah time to regroup, rebuild their tunnels and rearm under the noses of the Lebanese army and UNIFIL just like before the war. Israel on the other hand, knowing that another war is in the offing, will invent, improve, produce weapons much much more lethal than the ones they have. So, what's the use of rebuilding homes, roads and other infrastructures? Why even send Lebanese children to school when all they do is carry arms and die in the process?
