According to the report, Hamas has declared it will hold “no talks with the enemy via mediators” until Israel releases prisoners it had agreed to free on 22 February. Senior official Bassem Naim warned the delay placed “the entire agreement in grave danger” and urged mediators, “especially the Americans,” to pressure Israel to “implement the agreement as it is.”
The report said that the White House backed Israel’s decision, citing Hamas’ “barbaric treatment of the hostages” and stating that delaying the release was an “appropriate response.” Netanyahu vowed to achieve the war’s objectives “or by other means,” warning that Israel could “resume intense fighting at any moment.”
The report added that US envoy Steve Witkoff confirmed Washington is pushing to extend the ceasefire’s first phase, saying, “We have to get an extension… to begin phase two and finish it off.”
Meanwhile, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert revealed for the first time the official map of his 2008 two-state offer, recalling that he urged Palestinian leaders, “Sign it!
