According to the report, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the Israeli army to maintain control of Syria’s demilitarized buffer zone, including Mount Hermon, until at least the end of 2025. This decision follows the collapse of the 1974 disengagement agreement after Syrian troops withdrew from the area following the fall of President Bashar al-Assad's regime.
Meanwhile, Turkey has mobilized a significant military convoy to its southern border with Syria, reportedly in preparation for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's upcoming visit to Damascus. The convoy includes armored personnel carriers, T-155 Fırtına howitzers, and various supply vehicles.
You can't really break up Syria because they have to collate efforts for river management. Tel Aviv is not doing the local law for cartography over government. There's no apparent way to break up Syria without accidentally making a new proxy state for Iran. Erdogan is ambitious.
