According to the report, a devastating fire ripped through the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne on the morning of Dec. 6. The arson wounded two people and caused significant damage to the historic building, as per reports.
The report said that Australian police are treating the incident as “deliberately lit fire” and said that two masked individuals appear to have started the blaze.Meanwhile, Australian PM Anthony Albanese slammed the incident as a “deliberate, unlawful attack.” “To attack a place of worship is an attack on Australian values, to attack a synagogue is an act of anti-semitism”, Albanese said in a statement.
Meanwhile, A recent Egyptian hostage deal proposal passed on to Hamas offered an extended ceasefire, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel. As per the Egyptian proposal, hostages in the “humanitarian” category would be released.
The report added that the mediators, which include US, Egypt and Qatar, launched a flurry of activity to reach a deal to end the 14-month war.Israel is said to be fully open to discussing the updated hostage deal proposal given to Hamas by Egypt.
