On Tuesday, a war monitor stated that Israel's forces had "destroyed the most important military sites in Syria" since President Bashar al-Assad's ouster. Over the last 48 hours, Israel established a buffer zone on the east side of the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights and launched around 250 airstrikes on Syrian territory. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports that the goal was to undermine the former regime's military power. In addition to military sites, Israel targeted radars, depots, and other facilities.
