Did you know that it is a criminal offence that would lead to prosecution if you reject the official currency of a country for transactions within the geographical space of that country. Most countries don't take that kindly.

What is the punishment for such offence in your country?

In my country, there is also a ban on refusing local currency in all areas of the country, even in border areas or tourist areas such as the islands of Bali and Batam which border Singapore, there is a possibility that business licenses will be revoked or fines will be imposed.

It is also a violation here in my country refusing to accept the Ph currency. Some like dollars and not all are holders of a US dollar. If the money is damaged it should be exchanged to the Central Bank in my country.

In fact, every government/country has exception rules where a person/trader can reject official currency if they have certain reasons, such as damaged/torn money or there is a suspicion that the money is counterfeit.
If the money is bad, one has an option to walk into any of the commercial bank and change it. One can't bring very torn currency to my business and expect me to accept it

Like can they advertise the price of a product in public and it is listed in a foreign currency? That would be too much.
In my city, businesses can accept HK dollar (the official currency) or other currencies such as US dollar, JapaneseYen for business transactions. It depends on the agreement of the involved parties.

Yes, businesses can do so. They can advertise the products in US dollar it they want to. But of course, not many businesses would do so.
