Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has reiterated on several occasions that Italy will not send troops to Ukrainian territory. Italy has consistently made it clear that it does not plan to send its own soldiers to fight in Ukraine, but despite its "no" to sending troops, the Italian government maintains its full and unwavering support for the Ukrainian people through other means, with the goal of achieving a just peace.

Yes. The Italian government has refused to send troops, but it continues to strongly support the Ukrainians. Rome is providing assistance in other ways, such as material aid and diplomatic cooperation. It maintains that it does not need to send troops to demonstrate its commitment. what matters is continuing efforts to help Kiev overcome this crisis.

In my opinion, our prime minister made the right choice, because I don't think we Italians could have helped reach a peace agreement by sending soldiers and weapons to fight. I think you think the same about this, right?

That's reassuring, Italy's stance on not sending troops to Ukraine is clear, hope it contributes to finding a peaceful resolution!
In fact, even though I'm telling you honestly, I've never agreed with the policies of our Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, I still believe that at least this time we've truly made a wise choice.
