According to the report, with the US election over, Elon Musk has turned his attention to Italy, jumping into its contentious immigration debate. This week, Musk criticized an Italian court's decision to block Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's plan to detain migrants in Albania while processing their asylum requests.
The report said that the court ruled that seven migrants detained in Albania must return to Italy, citing potential conflicts with European Union law. Musk, calling the decision "unacceptable," questioned whether Italy’s democracy is truly led by the people or an "unelected autocracy."
The report added that Italy's President Sergio Mattarella responded sharply, warning Musk to respect Italy's sovereignty, while Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini welcomed Musk’s support for Meloni's stance.
That was a harsh decision, they should pity the migrants seeking asylum. They are humans . They need to be understood and be accepted. Not all migrants are bad, there are only a very few of them bad, so why make a generalization Mr. Italy President? Please be humane.
The term 'migrants' apply to those subject themselves to immigration process created by the host nation. So the term applies exclusively to the legal migrants alone and not the intruders. If there is an asylum law legislated by the nation is applicable, the respective embassies alone are authorized to initiate the process proposing the grant of asylum and not by the unaccountable and subversive actions.
