According to the report, a red alert was issued by Italian authorities on Friday (March 14) as torrential rains caused havoc in parts of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. River Arno, usually a tranquil waterway in the historical city of Florence, was swollen beyond its usual banks with rapid currents carrying an assortment of debris including branches and a car tyre. Head of the central Tuscany region, Eugenio Giani, urged residents and visitors to exercise caution, with schools closed in several cities as heavy rainfall is expected for the rest of Friday. According to local reports floodgates and expansion tanks would be opened to alleviate the strain on River Arno.

The flood looks terrible, deadly and must not be ignored. Damages may cost billions. Hoping , there are no fatalities of this ferocious rain and flood.

Watch the report on the YT link.

Yeah with such downpour people would need to evacuate. The rainy season is almost here and we might experience high flood all the time
Glad to know your rainy season is about to come. Ours here, we are combatting the extreme heat almost 42 degrees Celsius. Classes at the university are now in online modality.
