La Gomera suffered a total blackout due to severe storms, leaving residents without power. For me, the most relevant aspect is vulnerability. Personally, I think it’s alarming how entire islands lose electricity. What surprises me is the fragility of infrastructure. For me, the most important step is resilience planning. In the end, I believe renewable energy could prevent future crises and strengthen island communities.
