Nigeria public service workers has rejected the N48,000 proposed by the Federal Government as minimum wage .This happened at the resumed tripartite committee meeting on Wednesday, May 15,

President of the NLC, Joe Ajaero and Deputy President of the TUC, Comrade Tommy Okon, said the wage proposal by the government was a mockery and insult to workers dignity. They need the government to be serious about giving workers a living wage.

The NLC and TUC have proposed N615,000 as minimum wage, using the high cost of living as the ultimate reason.
