Lagos police has arrested a couple for attempting to sell their two-year-old son to travel to Canada.

An alleged attempt to sell their two-year-old son by a couple as been reported by the Lagos State Police Command
The arrested couple did the act to use the money to travel to Canada.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, The spokesperson of the command, confirmed on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

He said that the couple, aged 28 and 22, were arrested on Tuesday while attempting to sell the boy off.. The police received information that a couple wants to sell their baby boy in Isolo general hospital

The baby is two years and he has been rescued. Upon interrogation, the couple confessed that they decided to sell the baby to enable the man to travel for greener pastures

Hardship and greediness is causing people to behave like animals without conscience. People don't want to take responsibilities again. It is abnormal and inhumane for parents to think and behavior in such manner. May God have mercy and pity on some human beings!
