I see a lot of these kinds of questions. I can only say that it depends on where you are going to work and with whom. Language is communication. Without language you can't make yourself understood.
For me, working in the airline business, it's been English. Without a second langauge, my world would have been really small, as only 10 million speak my native langauge Swedish. Many cities in the world have more people than that!
