CBS Marketwatch: Large cryptocurrencies fall as Dogecoin declines

(30 May 2025) All large cryptocurrencies were down during U.S. morning trading on Friday, with Dogecoin seeing the biggest change, falling 6.84% to 20 cents.

Avalanche shed 5.20% to $21.52, and XRP declined 4.33% to $2.17. Cardano dropped 4.33% to 70 cents on Friday, while Solana shed 3.63% to $161.18 and Sui dropped 3.95% to $3.43.

Ethereum and Tronix fell 2.40% to $2,580.82 and 1.75% to 27 cents, respectively.

Bitcoin posted the smallest drop with a 0.50% decline to $105,624.20.

In crypto-related company news, shares of Coinbase Global Inc. inched down 0.90% to $246.60, while MicroStrategy Inc. slid 0.32% to $369.45. Riot Platforms Inc. shares declined 1.28% to $8.08, and shares of MARA Holdings Inc. declined 2.16% to $14.30.

Block Inc. sank 0.66% to $61.75 and Tesla Inc. sank 0.49% to $356.67.

PayPal Holdings Inc. declined 1.15% to $70.11, and Ebang International Holdings Inc. shares climbed 0.73% to $3.64. NVIDIA Corp. shed 2.15% to $136.19, and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. fell 2.02% to $110.75.

In the fund space, blockchain-focused Amplify Transformational Data Sharing ETF fell 1.96% to $47.97. The Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators ETF, which is focused on pure-play crypto companies, fell 2.79% to $16.05.

Like I said elsewhere, anytime I see an 'influencer' discussing any kind of memecoin I usually steer well away from it.
The only one I might even want to put anything into is Dogecoin and that money would be strictly play money.
