You may want to try this business at home. It is easy and you will not rent a space just to run this laundry business. But if your home is not spacious, you opt to rent a space. These are the things you need when you want to operate this business like proper equipment. You need over 20 washing machines and 20 dryers. Some other laundromat equipment to get are change machines. You have to require the clients to pay you through a credit card or it depends on you credit card or cash. Then the payment is based on the kilogram. It is also up to you how much would be paid per kilo of clothes to wash. They have to provide their detergent soap. You also need to get a business license and an outdoor advertising permit. You may apply in your business the following; self-service, full service, pick up and delivery, and dry cleaning. What do you think, can you make it?
 
Just make sure that you live in an area where they usually have constant light to be able to achieve this
 
This is something which is already happening in ground floor of my apartment, there live husband, wife and their 2 small kids. They are doing this business and they are better than us financially, as they purchased their apartment while we are still on rent.

It's a profitable business especially if the owner is kind and accommodating. I think the payment is automatic. It will be dropped to the washing machine. It won't operate if no payment made.

The power system is always the problem in this business. You need to make sure thT it is stable if you don't want to use your hands to wash your customers clothes

Power interruptions seldom happen here. If ever it occurs, it's restored after few hours only. In this laundry business it's a self operation business. They pay and wash.
 
I know someone who started his laundry business from home. He would take them home and wash and iron them. Back then his house was always filled with cloths. Now he has his own shop.

That simply means that this business is profitable because someone who operates a laundry business in your location now owns a laundry shop. How nice to try this business and just to start at least 10 washing machines.
 
I have seen a lot of people start this business at home. It is one of the offline businesses that you can effectively start at home and run it completely from home. The only difficult thing that you might need to get in my country is a power generator.

That is a big problem if your electrical power supply is off and on. But you can schedule the laundrying business for example every MWF or TTHS only. And check the power supply on those days if problematic or not.

Yes the business is lucrative but at the same time it has very high competition. So anyone entering this business has to up his or her game. In my area alone there are more than five laundry shops.

It is best to scout for a place where no laundry business is available and you can start it there. However, there might be residents who may copy your work and you will have a tight competitor considering that person as a resident of that area.
 
This is a good business if there is a spacious lot at home or in the backyard, it's hard if small. There are machines to be installed and the stuff needed for that business like big basins and laundry soap.

That's just it try and create a good space at home and start the business. You can still make it even at home

I am not interested in this business. It is not my type. lol. I already like and love my milk tea business. It's decent for me.
