According to the report, Israel was forced to delay a potential retaliatory attack on Iran after details of the planning were leaked from the Pentagon, as per a report. Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said that only the state should carry weapons, without explicitly naming Hezbollah which has fought Israel for decades.

The report said that Mikati outlined a ceasefire plan based on the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, at an international conference in Paris aimed at coordinating international support for Lebanon.

The report stated that the US does not want Israeli military operations in Lebanon to lead to a protracted military campaign, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.

The report added that Blinken said after talks in Qatar that he expects Gaza ceasefire negotiations to move forward in the coming days. US negotiators will meet Israeli negotiators in Doha to "discuss the ways to achieve a breakthrough in these negotiations," the Qatari prime minister said.

Mossad chief David Barnea will head to Doha on Sunday for talks aimed at restarting negotiations toward a hostage release deal.

At least Germany, and Lebanon are now officially calling upon Hezbollah to lay down their arms. They are also talking about implementing the UNSC Resolution 1701.

One viewer said: Being a German, I feel ashamed about the announcement of Baerbock. Israel can NOT withdraw from southern Lebanon. We know meanwhile, how the UN helped Hamas with their attack towards Israel. Unifil, Unwar, etc. It is disgusting! Our ridicule Minister of Foreign Affairs talks about the 1701 resolution, which was NEVER controlled by the UN. She is a disgrace to us.
