Legendary singer Roberta Flack is reportedly dead. She died at the age of 88, according to a statement from her representatives. The iconic R&B artist rose to fame in the 1970s with her rendition of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," a song that became a major hit and cemented her place in music history. She was also known for "Killing Me Softly With His Song," which was later covered by the Fugees in the 1990s with Lauryn Hill on vocals.

Flack enjoyed a successful career collaborating with artists such as Donny Hathaway, Leonard Cohen, and Burt Bacharach, producing numerous pop and R&B hits.
Born in North Carolina in 1937, Flack's cause of death has not been disclosed. She passed away on Monday.

I might know her by face or maybe from one of her songs, but this name is not familiar to me. May her soul rest in peace though.
She is the one that sang the popular song ":Killing Me Softly With His Song," The song was everywhere then
