We know Libre Office is the productivity suite coming as default in all (or the main) Linux distros. Unlike its cousin Microsoft Office that costs a fortune, Libre Office is offered for free. But it exists Open Office also, a very similar open source suite, maybe lighter than its sister Libre Office. Both Libre Office and Open Office are distributed to be downloaded in Windows environments too. Did you try both? Which of them do you prefer?

Yes, I use 2 distros (Ubuntu and Debian). Both presenting suite Libre Office default. In any way, I can't get rid of Windows completely, as universities and banks in my country adore Microsoft tools. I also need a for free video maker to improve my secondary job, that only Windows properly runs.

So you use Linux? I thought there was a Microsoft Office version for Linux? I would choose Open office though because of easier navigation.

Until I know, Microsoft Office only works in a Windows environment (maybe MAC also, but I'm not sure). Open Office is the sister of Libre Office and works in Microsoft devices. Libre Office, in its side, works in both Linux and Windows.

The size of the office really depends on the size of your business. Most small businesses requires a simple office for it's work.
Until I know. Microsoft at this moment is only offering Office 360, that should be very heavy for small netbooks only owning a simple memory of 4 GIGA (maybe, unless owning a SSD of at least 500). I don't know if a smaller Microsoft Office is currently offered.
