According to the report, two Kentucky state lawmakers say they'll introduce a bill to honor Charlie Kirk with a day named for him.
State Sen. Steve Rawlings (R-Burlington) says he will introduce a bill in the state Senate on the first day of the 2026 Regular Session of the Kentucky General Assembly to name Oct. 14 as “Charlie Kirk Day” in Kentucky. Oct. 14 was Kirk's birthday.
The report said that Rawlings wrote about Kirk as a tireless advocate for free speech, Charlie stood against censorship, university indoctrination, government overreach, and always defended the First Amendment as the cornerstone of a free society.
In addition, Roberts added, saying: "We want this day to serve not only as a commemoration of his life, but as a renewed commitment to uphold respectful dialogue, courage in the face of adversity, and the conviction that faith and truth endure.”
