According to a recent report, residents of the Los Angeles area faced a third consecutive day of strong wind warnings and remained at risk for new fires on Wednesday, more than a week after devastating blazes began tearing through Southern California.

The report said that the most dangerous fire conditions that forecasters warned of, including gusts of at least 30 miles an hour, had not materialized by midmorning.

The report added that on Tuesday, weaker-than-predicted winds allowed firefighters to make progress against the largest blazes, and to tame or extinguish new, smaller ones.

It is crucial if the strong winds continue, it will trigger another forest fire, The California government already has a big loss due to damages to infrastructures and properties. My there will be a sudden storm to come to water the fire.

I watched the whole devastation on TV. It's really sad that such big houses got burnt.

Yes it's devastating, I do not watch the entire video. My heart aches seeing the wild forest gotten by fire ravagely. The losses cost a fortune.

It did and we do not know how long will it take to set things back to normal.

It may take years to normalise the area but the problem is, it seems scenario may occur once the trees grow back. It is better to control the number of trees. The ecosystem will not be affected much as long as there are backups like fruit trees.
