According to the report, the US has seized a second jet belonging to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, escalating tensions between the two nations.
The report said that the Dassault Falcon 200, confiscated in the Dominican Republic, was reportedly used by Maduro and his top officials for international trips violating US sanctions.
The report also stated that Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to announce the seizure during his Central America tour, further straining relations after Venezuela's Foreign Minister labeled Rubio an "enemy of our country."
The report added that this follows the September 2024 seizure of another Maduro jet and comes amid rising tensions over Venezuela's aggressive claims on Guyana's Essequibo region. The US continues tightening pressure on Maduro's regime through sanctions and diplomatic maneuvers.
What a shame that Maduro is violating the US agreement thus the jets were confiscated. It is also unprofessional for Manduro to call Rubio an enemy of their country,
