Major decrease in the jobs in the tech sector

According to media reports there has been a drastic decline in the number of freshers getting jobs in the tech sector. Also some of the largest tech companies are laying off employees. Is there a decrease in tech sector jobs in your country?

In my country getting jobs in all the sectors has become very difficult and not just the tech sector.
