Making money with YouTube

I've tried a few times to make money with YouTube, but I never reach my target audience. I believe it's because my niche is saturated. Are any of you making money on the platform? If so, what niche would you recommend I start in and what type of videos get the most engagement?

I don't have my YouTube channel but I guess one should start with "food", "tourist places", "education". I think these are few topics which people search more.

I do not have a YouTube channel. A friend of mine is very good at cooking. She has a YouTube channel which teaches people how to cook different Chinese dishes. She gets many views and followers. Making good money.

You need to be patient to publish at least 2 videos per week for 6-7 months and also do SEO on your video

Interesting, I really liked the tips, and looking at it from this perspective, I really need to change the niche of my channel and look for subjects that an average person watches or enjoys watching.
