In the Pilibhit district's Fulhar village, a day after a farmer was killed by a tiger, forest officials reported on Tuesday that their team had been tracking the animal and would capture it as soon as favorable conditions were met.

The sixth tiger attack in the area in two months occurred when the 39-year-old Dayaram was mauled to death in his field in Bari Phulhar village.

The forest crew following the tiger reported that the animal also made an effort to assault its staff, but thankfully no significant injuries were sustained.

According to officials, the tiger was last seen close to Auraiya hamlet, which is situated under the Neuria police station area along the Pilibhit-Tanakpur route.
