Management vs Ownership: Who has the highest decision making power in a company?

In registered companies, management is always separated from ownership. I want to know if the people that are just managing the company have the power to make decisions over the owners of the company.

Can ownership rescind the decision of management of a company?

I think it is the management. Those in the management would do better as they are the decision makers not the owners

At the end of the day, the owners have the largest amount of power to make final decisions in a company.

I think the owner should have the final say. Afterall, management staff are hired by the owner.

For a structured and registered company, it is definitely the management that has more power than the owners.

I think every business organization has the way it operates. For some, ownership has the highest decision making power and can suspend management when they deem fit.

The management drafts the proposal to be endorsed to the owner, the CEO of the company if the proposed something is substantial and emphatic.

The management team is responsible for making day-to-day operational decisions and puts the strategic plans laid out by the board of directors. But, the owners of the company have the ultimate authority to make decisions that affect the company.

If the decision in question has to do with operations, I would prefer that the management should take such decisions.

Most of the time ownership has the upper hands in the decision but the owners who listen to others for advice will always listen to management.
