President Donald Trump has revealed that he's signed an executive order requiring a "mandatory death penalty" for "anyone who murders a police officer in the US.

He made known during his address to Congress on Tuesday, March 4.
Speaking about more support for the police in the US, Trump called on Congress to make that executive order a law.

"I've already signed an executive order requiring a mandatory death penalty for anyone who murders a police officer," the president said. "And tonight, I'm asking Congress to pass that policy into law

This is a good law, this shows how much they value their officers. Maybe this will help protect them to some extent. These people sre constantly risking their lives.

However, there are also abusive policemen, there should also be a law on how abusive police be punished if they kill the wrong suspect, like what happened to Brown, who was murdered by the police. They were only sentenced to a few years in prison. They must also be sentenced to death.

Some people are very fond of abusing police officers. They forget that they are humans too. Balanced legislation if you ask me.
Yes some people just hate them for no just cause. So there should be in place a law like this to help also keep them safe

The law is good but there is lacuna in the law. If a person killed a police officer unintentionally, the law have no provision for such situation. I think the Congress have to sign the law but there is need to add one or two things there.

For sure l think the US government have got genuine reasons for that kind of judgement for the law breakers in the country.
That's right no body had the right to murder the officer of the law. That's it
