From the Cotabato City, Philippines report, anti-narcotics operatives arrested an alleged big-time drug peddler in Marawi City on Wednesday (June 11, 2025), confiscating one kilogram of shabu with an estimated market value of PHP6.8 million, police said Thursday.
According to Colonel Robert Daculan, Lanao del Sur police provincial director, a buy-bust operation carried out by the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay Lilod Saduc, Marawi City, resulted in the arrest of a suspect identified only as “Menso.”
The report also said that the Police recovered six large sachets of shabu, buy-bust money, and a motorbike used by the suspect in peddling drugs from “Menso.” Daculan said investigators are currently working to determine the network of the suspect and his companions within the drug syndicate, which is believed to be operating in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, and even Iligan and Cagayan de Oro Cities.
In addition, the BARMM police regional director, Brig. General Romeo Macapaz said the "operation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to eradicating the illegal drug trade in the region, in line with the marching orders of Chief PNP Gen. Nicolas Torre III."
