According to the report, Russia Volcano Eruption: Following the powerful 8.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Kamchatka on July 30, Russia’s Klyuchevskoy volcano has erupted. Lava began flowing down its western slope, with visible glowing and explosive activity reported by the Russian Academy of Sciences. Situated about 450 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Klyuchevskoy is one of the tallest and most active volcanoes globally. Scientists had anticipated the eruption, as lava had been rising in the crater and ash plumes were observed. Kamchatka, a highly seismic region with 300 volcanoes—29 of them active—has seen structural damage, injuries, and tsunami alerts across the Pacific following the quake.
