Ten cities in Mexico registered record-high temperatures in 10 cities, including the capital, plus a sudden blackout happened nationwide adding tension to people all over the nation.

In the normally temperate high-altitude capital of Mexico City, North America's largest metropolis, thermometers on Thursday peaked at 34.3 degrees Celcius a tenth of a degree higher than the record hit just a month earlier.

Neighboring Puebla broke its previous record of 34.3 C - set in 1947 - when it reached 35.2 C on Thursday.

The blackout lasted for several hours in the entire country and the sweltering temperature reached 47 degrees Celcius, especially in Tamaulipas

Classes are also suspended in Mexico this week, mainly in the north, and the central state of San Luis Potosi, which this week because the heat index reached 50 C.

In Idia, the government used jets to sprinkle water on the affected areas. I will ask members from India if it is true.

Are you for real . This is becoming very serious. Nigeria isn't really hot these few days.
India is under heat waves too. I also learned of from members here from their posts that the heat there is killing.

There are counries that suffered the extreme temperature and classes are suspended. Ours here remains hot and classes are on online mood.

Good that the right thing is being done for the countries with severe heat so that they will be no spread of diseases as well.

There is no disease only the extreme heat that could cause mild stroke or heat stroke. There was a baby here age 8 months who died because of heatstroke.

50 Celsius is real hot and can cause blisters and meningitis. We have to be ecologically conscious and friendly. We should plant more trees and try to stop harming the environment.

That is the experience also of the people in some cities in Manila which is why classes are suspended. All classes are converted to online modalities.
