You cannot sell a gig for less than $5 on Fiverr but on Sproutgigs, you can do micro freelancing, thus allowing you to sell your gigs for $1 or even less. I haven't tried it yet but based on my initial assessment I can tell you that this can be a good platform for beginners. However, to sell gigs you either need have built enough reputation on other freelancing platforms or reach certain level on the platform. Have you heard of Sproutgigs, do you have any experience?

On Fiverr, the pricing starts with $5, when I was talking about microfinancing, I was basically talking about tasks that pay you $1 or $2 and less than $5.
