Microsoft discontinues Skype?

Microsoft Inc, who are the company that is operating Skype has announced that it has discontinued the video calling app. They said they had taken that decision because of duplicates functions between Skype and Microsoft Teams. This is the end of Skype on all platforms.

The only question here is, does anyone still use Skype? I read the name of Skype and the years 2010 come to mind.

I think them discontinuing skype was the best option, i don't think anyone makes use of skype at this day and age.
