Have you tried using another charger for the phone? Maybe the charger is faulty or it could be form the charging port.
May be the charger is faulty. Try another charger, if another charger works then your charging port is not working, you need to get it repaired
The challenge is that most of the chargers are not manufactured to be durable these days. They make it so that people would always come back to buy.
They have made the quality of the chargers by saving cost.
The times it happened to me is because the phone jack was full of lint from my pockets, look if the inside of the plug is dirty
