According to the report, Fostoria, Ohio, police responded to a frantic 911 call from 25-year-old Joseph Bonito, who claimed his four-month-old son, Carson Bonito, was unresponsive after a nap.

The report said that Joseph’s account begins to fall apart as detectives confront him with medical evidence suggesting repeated abuse. Bonito eventually admits to grabbing and shaking the infant, leading to his arrest on murder and child endangerment charges.

The report added that Court records show Joseph Bonito later pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and two counts of felonious assault, receiving a sentence of 25 to 31.5 years in prison.

The sentencing should also be for life. He murdered his child, why only serve his crime for 25 - 35 years?

I am shocked see Joseph Bonito arrested for the murder of son Carson in Fostoria. This after police discovered was abusing infant contrary to his false statements he initially gave to officers.

If signs of abuse was seen in the child, then it was an intentional act, so he needs to face the court for what he has done.
