More passive income apps for desktops

I have noticed that most of the passive income apps like Grass are mainly working for desktops and windows devices, they usually pay very less or are not available for android devices. What could be the main reason for the difference?

For me, the only passive income app that l have come across is the internet or data sharing apps which l really don't recommend.

There are some apps which are using processing power of the computer or mobile which are idle most of the time, and I am interested in testing them to make some money.
