Devastating flash floods in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand have left over 100 people missing and at least one person dead. Roads and buildings were immersed by a huge wave of water that rushed down the mountains into Dharali village on Tuesday, triggering rescue efforts in the Uttarkashi district.

According to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, around 190 persons have been relocated from the impacted area thus far.

Although India's weather forecasting bureau has not verified it, state officials said that a cloudburst—a quick, strong downpour over a short area—was the cause of the flash flood.

I also posted that news here yesterday with a video that is so scary sweeping away houses and properties in a village The flood was so scary it started from a mountain. I was thinking about the people inside homes when the flood attacked.

More than hundred? Will those people still be alive once they are found? It is well though, lets keep hoping.
Many were dead and now I don't think people buried in the debris will be found alive.
