Most of Iran's Forces Fled Syria After Assad's Fall? Turkey Threatens Military Action Against YPG

According to the report, Iran has reportedly withdrawn most of its forces from eastern Syria, including elite units from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), after the fall of Bashar al-Assad.

The report said that many of the Iranian and proxy fighters fled across the border to Iraq while others headed to Iran or Lebanon, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The report added that Iranian forces reportedly withdrew leaving behind significant military equipment that was either destroyed by Israeli airstrikes or seized by rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. (HTS).

According to US officials, the retreat represents a heavy blow to Tehran's ambitions in Syria.

Iran has no border with Syria, so the military movements were taking place through Iraq. It seems that Iran feared their situation without those who backed up them, like the terrorists. Turkey should get out of Syria, as Iran did, and let the new Syrian govt deal with its internal problems, if there are any. I wonder why Erdogan is very aggressive in participating in the war.

Unless Syrians should transcend above religion and illiteracy, they will be under severe pressure from external forces. President Erdogan is stupid in participating in the war when his country is not part of it. He should think of his economic progress. He wants to fight Prime Minister Netanyahu perhaps for popularity or insanity. The Syrian leader will not allow intruders like Iran and Turkey.
