Mother and son charged in alleged murder of teen girlfriend

According to the report, a mother and her son were facing serious charges in connection with the death of a 17-year-old girl.

The report also stated that Charla Pendergrass, 49, and her son Jalen, 23, have been charged with second-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the death of London Thomas

The report also said that Thomas was reported missing on April 5 and then found dead in a plastic bin inside a vehicle on April 26. The medical examiner ruled Thomas' death a homicide caused by asphyxia.

In addition to the report, one witness said that he saw the suspects buying a big plastic bag and later saw the mother and son packing the plastic bag and placing it in the SUV where Thomas' remains were found.

Charla's bond was set at $5 million, and Jalen was denied bond. A probable cause conference was scheduled for Oct. 22.

What I do not understand about these kinds of people is that they forgot about the law, that they cannot hide their crimes. Mother and son are monsters. They will rot in prison.

It is so bad that a mom who is supposed to be a role model to her son is an ally in immoral acts. No reason is justifiable to murder another human.

It's too bad for a mom complicating her son of a heinous crime. She should have let the victim alive if she doesn't like her. The girl she killed with the cooperation of her son is a minor, 17 years old. They made her life short for a senseless reason.
