A large crowd gathered to celebrate the mullet hairstyle Monday at the Pennsylvania Farm Show. About 150 competitors and more than a thousand spectators attended.
The grand prize went to 10-year-old Drew Freshcut, who dressed as Joe Dirt and received a Corvette rear bumper. Contestants were judged on the quality of their haircuts, accessories they added, their presentation and their level of dedication. There were magic shows, custom-made T-shirts and even a skullcap from a bald man.
The competition, now in its third year, is one of the few at the Pennsylvania Farm Show that welcomes people from out of state.
