Multiple sites on the same domain

Have you tried creating multi site? I mean have you created multiple sites that are using the same domain and build on either subdomains or on the directories? Well, I have done this multiple times. I have created blog, forum, and online store on directory of the same site. Currently,I am running a multi site website where four different websites are using the same domain.
