Must a business person consume his products or services to proof quality?

I have seen some business people undertake production and convince people to buy the products. But they themselves don't make use of the products or services they produce.

If they have need for that product, they would go buy from somewhere else instead from their own shops or businesses?

Why does it happen like that? Would you patronize a business whose owner doesn't patronize too?

Most business owners I know of usually use the products they sell, with this they would have a first hand experience and enough knowledge to tell people about the product and market it properly.

I also believe that it is important to do this, because you need to show the buyer that this is not a poisonous product if it is food or that it really works if it is computer programs

My former boss when I was teaching sent his children to another school apart from his school. There and then, I knew that the school was not quality enough to recommend to anyone.

It is not compulsory but if you are advertising a product you should use it to be sure of the products you are selling

It is hypocrisy when you market your products for other people to patronize. And you the producer can't patronize it. We know the truth.

It is essential to support or back up your product since it can instill trust in potential customers who are interested in trying it out. By doing so, you can create a sense of credibility that may motivate people to give your product a chance.

Before I set up a food stall, my family and I were the first to enjoy the dish, if the quality or taste was good then we invited several friends and neighbors to try the food for free and do or write an honest review. After it is marketed, of course I will get bored if I have to eat the food I sell myself, so I often eat at other food stalls.

I think a good business manager would trust and treasure their businesses so much. In that line they ought to patronize on their businesses before they can sell the products and services to other people.

In case of IT products, you should always test your website, program or app. You should not deploy it to customer server is there are some bugs. Maybe something small but I saw example where new website registration form didn't work.

That is big error.

This is exactly what we mean by leading by example. You should be able to patronize your own business. You have to patronize the products you are preaching for me to patronize.
