Must one carry money with them every time they leave the house?

Some people believe that someone must carry some money with them anytime they leave the house. This is not part of the necessary funds that the person might need for the endeavors of the day but extra money in case anything happens on the road that requires money.

Do you carry extra money more than you need every time you step out?

I always bring money. I may run out of gasoline or in case my car needs a sudden repair. I cannot leave home without money even if I have a card.
