Mystery Disease Linked to Eating Bats Kills More Than 50 People

A mysterious illness in the Democratic Republic of Congo has killed over 50 people, with at least 431 cases reported, and is being linked to bats. The disease, featuring hemorrhagic fever, baffles doctors, especially as victims die within 48 hours of symptoms. People and kids ate the bat out of hunger. They are in an internal war in Congo. The tier 1 and 2 countries must help the people in Congo survive from hunger and war. Why is it that their government did not take action to ask for financial help from other countries? It is my first time hearing people eat bats. There might be part of the bat's body that contains poison. It takes only 48 hours for the victim to survive. This is something the government must take a needed action.

They were forced to eat because of an unbearable hunger.They cannot go out to farm to work because of the rebels that took over their place. I pity these people. Why is their government frigid?

Yes,tney mot have eaten a part of a bat having poison. There are eaters of bats. I read a column stating that bats are not deadly. There is a part of the bat they remove but it was not sated where.
